Ingredients
FOR THE GREEK CHICKEN BURGERS:
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- 2 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 pinch salt and pepper, each
FOR THE FETA AIOLI:
- 2 tbsp greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Add the ground chicken to a large mixing bowl, followed by the oats, egg, grated onion, garlic, parsley, lemon zest, spices, and feta. With clean hands, mix all of the ingredients together until well-combined.
- With your hands, shape the chicken mixture into 6 patties and gently press your thumb into the middle of each. Arrange evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven at 400F for 15 minutes, flipping the burgers halfway. *Alternatively, see notes for grilling instructions.
- While the burgers are cooking, make the Feta Aioli by whisking all ingredients together in a bowl until well-combined. I recommend serving each burger on a bun with lettuce, sliced tomato, red onion, cucumber and feta aioli.
