Stromboli

Ingredients

  • ½ cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces sliced deli meat, a mixture of pepperoni, salami and sliced ham
  • 2 cups (250g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • marinara for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C.
  2. Roll out dough into 12 x 15 or18 inch rectangle. Spread the pizza sauce, then layer with the meat, and then the cheeses.
  3. Roll up the dough as tightly as possible, starting on the long side. Place the rolled stromboli on a baking sheet, seam side down, then score the top with a paring knife to create vent holes. Drizzle and brush olive oil, and sprinkle a little parmesan on top.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Allow the stromboli to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with a side of marinara sauce.
